Tougher relay rod for 80 series
I think there are a few options around for stronger relay rods in 80 series but have not heard too many opinions on whats good and whats not. I have bent my standard one a few times before, but really bananna'd it at logan challenge and ended up having to weld a star picket to it to get me through the weekend. So before I race out and replace it with a standard one again, I'd love to hear others experiences with the aftermarket ones
C.O.R.E I have been running the same one since my dual cab. I bent it at the last XRCC after getting wedged between 2 big rocks. Had about 1foot of movement back and forth before the rocks hit both diff housings and the steering link out front. I have a huge dint in my diff housing from the link. Was at it full noise 1st to reverse trying to get out. It has now bent it a little but it shouldnt bend anymore than it has.

relay rod
Thanks Guys. Called em and sounds like the go. They have a choice of 30mm or a 35 mm 4140 cromoly replacements for $180 and $220.
I run std on mine yeh ive bent some but a spare dosn't take up much room. I run 4140 CrMo track rod but never wanted to up the drag link as the sector shaft in 80 boxes have a habbit of twisting if you givem a hard time so that why i keep to the std size drag link, it also gives the steering a good safety fuse.
