Bull Bar Question

Post by SiKiD_01 »

i have a alloy bull bar from my old '92 4Runner (not surf, but probably same).

question is, will the bar fit a '97 hilux? meaning, are the brackets and mounting positions the same on the two 4wd's?

i know someone who wants to buy the bull bar, but not sure if it will fit.

there is also the possibility to make up new mounting brackets, which may be the case if they are not matching.

thanks for any help.

my hilux is rigid front axle and everyone said that side steps and brush bars of an IFS lux wouldn't fit but they went straight on, and they are more different than the swap your talking about. I reckon it would fit. just check whether it is chasis or cross member mounted coz the chasis may be different but i strongly doubt it.

hope this helped regards wes.

thanks for that, i can't remember where/how it was mounted, but i dare say it was chassis mounted judging by the original brackets made.

thanks again.
