A couple of Q's for those of you that have the duals ?
Did you fit a double UJ on the rear drive shaft or does a shorter shaft work OK ?
Does the factory x-member work with the front shaft ( I'm makin a new x-member later but want to get the Marlin in and running first )
Cheers

I put my AA adapter in on the weekend, haven't finished it yet. But to make the x-member work you will have to clearance it. At normal stance you could probably get away with it, but once flexed the tail shaft will bind with the x-member. I have seen pictures on pirates where a section is cut out of the x-member and welded back up.
With my 4runner on the hoist with the wheels off the ground, the front tail shaft would not bolt onto the diff because it hits the x-member.
I had a turbo 350 gearbox in my 4runner ages ago and this placed the t/case in the same postion and the crawler rear t/case is. With a normal tail shaft I did get some vibes, just did not worry about it! I probably will not put a double UJ in. I also believe that the double UJ hits the rear hose shoe cross-member behind the t/case, when used with double cases.
Chris.
on my dual setup I had to clearance the tx case crossmember, and was originally running a two piece rear shaft with shortened front half (and shimmed to correct angle). I now have a standard uni at each end rear shaft and it works fine no obvious vibes at all, and I have tried very hard to hit the horsecollar crossmember (to see if it will happen) but am yet to succeed).
