Dim instrument lights

Post by paul1a »

I've got a 1982 40 series. The instrument cluster lights are so dim that I can hardly see the instruments. All the bulbs are OK, they are those little ones in the black plastic holders that go into the circuit board at the back of the cluster. Is there anyway I can get more light :?:

Cant believe how simple and easy it was to fix such an annoying problem

Yep I did the same thing, cut the metal sheilds and I also added a couple of green silicon sheaths over the bulbs to give a green light. You can get all sorts of different colors.
