clutch interchangeability

Post by bad_religion_au »

will the clutch from a 2f powered landcruiser with 4 speed gearbox work in a H powered cruiser with 4 speed? if not, why not, ie different flywheel etc? as i may have 2 decent clutches from 2f's, and a Hj45 with a buggered clutch.

Thanks.

Like I said on mud, the clutch disc will fit over the input shaft as the size and splines are the same but the clutch cover is different. The 2F has a diaphragm style cover and the 2H has a three-finger type (Borg & Beck?) cover. I'm sure the flywheel can be redrilled to accept the petrol clutch cover though.
