Whos Bodylifted a 40?

yeah I did mine with a 2 inch lift and used nylon type blocks...all I used was the hi lift jack to raise the body to put the spacer blocks in place....steering will be the only real problem but I went 60 series power steering box further up the rail...you will have to extend the front gaurds and front grill mounts which I fabbed mine to suit....
my40 was done before i brought it only prob i had was refitting the standard steering colum they hacked the old one to suit i had to cut the firewall mount away about 1-2cm so the shaft would turn easily still hith slightly but i plan on making a new bracket for the dash end to raise the stering colum up 1-2cm
I did a 2 1/2 body lift to my old FJ45 ute. ( almost 4 yrs ago)
Used steel pipe (nylon blocks seem the go now) with big washers and 10mm rubber top and bottom, and a crush pipe in the centre of each.
Steering was very unfun.
Fabbed up a mount to lift the steering box approx 65mm off the chassis, which bolted on to existing holes in both the chassis and s/box.
Had to raise the column at the firewall, but not much from memory, maybe a bit of cutting, and i think i also flipped the mount under the column (inside the car which bolts onto the dash) upside down, to raise the angle just a little.
All original parts used.
Also moved the idler box 10mm towards pass side ( something was hitting - can't remember)
