Post by ludacris »

I have ordered a pair of these to check out. Should be here in one week. If they are any good I will be able to retail them for around $880 with nissan bushes. They are for a 6inch lift. If you are interested let me know.

$1400 is cheap for a high grade low volume casting of that size, machined and complete with bushes and paint.

as dear as it may sound for its application.

funny how people are more than happy to pay $1700 for a fabricated 5 link which any one can build in an arvo, with no special tools.

cheers bru

having seen the quality of them and if i was doing a big lift in my GU again i would buy them for $1400 to sort out tall the hassle with a lifted front end , but this ute is a tourer for a few years till its traded on a new one (if nissan still make live axle utes in 3-4 years)

All I know is that they have been on a couple of cars for 2 years with no problems and that they are $500 + cheaper than other brands. They also take about a week to get to the buyer. Cheers.

No photo on car just got them in today. Might just sell them as the fella who makes them has had them on a couple of comp cars for the last two years so the design is tested already. There is a GQ that has been built for 2005 comps who has a pair alredy fitted and taken through a couple of rigorous test runs without a problem.

i would imagine you would get the same articulation but it would start further down so you should get better down travel at the expence of up travel.
drop brackets do the same.
caster plates have less down travel.

because the mounting points are in the same places there would not be any difference to the wobbles [same with caster plates]
[ i am presuming they have built in caster correction ]
drop brackets would improve the wobbles.

the resistance to climbing [eg: a rock ledge] would be the same as caster plates but not as good as drop brackets.

there would be better clearance than caster plates or drop brackets.

just my opinion :D

They would free your travel up and down as your arms are straight like original except they have built in castor to combat large lifts.
