Well done Wendy, dont let the wimps convince you to build lame tracks.
Although tyre size should have a far greater influence on which class you compete in rather than how many V8"s you have under the bonnet etc.

Competitors As for scrutineering you are supposed to do your own and make sure your team members has it right as well. If you are not 100% sure ask :!:

Thanks JohnJohn, well driven the weekend .

I cant beleive that johnjohn was allowed to keep driving even after the accident......thought saftey is so big now with insurance, cant get much more stupid than driving a truck with no protction in the case of another roll. Another roll like on stage 3 in that car could have been fatal

No worries about using me as an example.

That vehicle is my daily driver, it gets me to work. I only ran it as my other wasnt yet completed.
BUT i thought to myself, wats the point in entering the comp to just blouse it so i gave it a good go.
Went ok, could have done better......... But went ok for my class in my work hack.
BTW am only running 32's

My downfall is i didnt have enough seat time in the car before trials. I had only driven it offraod twice and its waaaay lower and underpowered and no lockers etc. compared to my other one.
Was not used to it. If i was going to run it again i would use alittle less throttle. But i had fun

screwy :D

Also wondering about results.
When can we see?

Also, is it possible to see total ranking of all cars in class? or just 1 through to 3rd place?

Does anyone have any pics of my 40 from the weekend ?

I didn't take a camera as it is quite difficult to take pics from the drivers seat

If so, can you send to alisondan @ bigpond . com

Cheers

yes will all the results be there like the previous years as the result's site looks like 1st to 3rd in every class only and just all the combined team scores . im not just interested in my score i want to see how well/poorly i did against others scores

and how long does it take to get the results up? surely you must have them considering you awarded 1st to 3rds and named the top ten clubs on the sunday? am i looking at the wrong site (nissan patrol club site)
im not having a go at anyone just wanting to know when the results will be up
cheers Jai

I thought you gave it a good go also. Just 'cause I think 32's are Grimace doesn't mean that you are... just your truck :D Seriously though how else could you drive it on the day? No lockers/SD33/etc. it had to be point and shoot.

As much as everyone gives the trials crap (inc. me) most will be back next year (inc. me) it's just how things are.

It seems from the eports from everyone that because of the no stopping, reversing issue that drivers had to attack the courses.

Here is my solution. I reckon you should be allowed say 50 penalty points an event. This could be made up of x points for stopping x points for reversing x points for tape hitting etc. Once you have exceeded the 50 points you're out if you finish the course what penalty points you have are subtracted from 100. Also allow the navvy to spot for you. if they stay in the car for the entire event x bonus points.

Just my 0.2c worth

I think every competitor should be given one free to reverse card that can be used once only during the entire event. It can be used on any track and used only once. During your drive if you want to use your card you stop and hand the card to an official and then reverse. That would stop the ( I have to drive this in 1 go ). What do people think :?:

sounds good but would prefer 1 pass per day , if you dont use it on day one it dosn't go to day two , only one per day , using different coloured passes for each day so as to keep it honest .

would of come in handy on the no3 track where i started to turn too early  and when i realized the turn wasn't yet it was too late i couldn't turn fast enough to get around the tree :D looked pretty bloody silly that i got up the harder section at the beginning just to bomb out on the flat near the top , a reverse would have been good

I would be more inclined to go as far as ' u earn one of these reverse cards everytime u earn a cetain amount of points depending on class'.

for example, if in modified u earn one when u get to 70 points ( total even if it takes 2 or 3 events to get to ) then u get a free reverse card tp use.
U start off with one.

?!?!?!

just a thought.......

Shannon,

will try harder but wont use that truck nor will i still own it at all...........
