Why haven’t I been keeping up with this thread! It looks as though it’s coming along great. The idea of lux springs is pretty cool also kinda cheap at the same time.

Keep up the good work.

the front springs are currently stock front lux springs, with 2 leaves removed. Shackle reversal. had to do a chassis extention at the front and more the rear hangers back a bit aswell. the springs were free :D trying to keep the costs down on some stuff so that the money can be better spent in other areas.

your lux springs are a nice idea ;) they work well on the front of the aztec there strong and cheap and have an offset pin

edit : just noticed they are lux fronts
so they dont have the offset pin

the fronts need some work. i think i'm still gonna run the front lux springs in the front because they are flatter. i'll re drill the pin so that the pin is offset.
the rear are lux rears but they are in backwards so that i get my wheelbase extended and a better departure angle.

i made the shackles extra long and drilled several different holes in them so that i could play with the length. the shackles are a very temporary setup when i'm happy with a length of the shackles i will make some new ones that are stronger. there is currently 250mm between the pins. they are big.

Chris, Nathan here...

It is a sad techno world we live in when I can see your house from my veranda, we've been mates for years, we are separated at work by a glass window and I STILL haven't come over to see your crazy Zook.

Kane said your roster has been messed up... when are you off so I can come over and see?

The winch for the Sube will be finished this weekend.

Engine In.
Body On.
Test fit of some rubber, front diff is going to be moved forward 3 or 4 inches. I might still have to get a bit creative with the angle grinder on the front of the body, just to make sure the tires don't rub on full compression.

how much did u move the front hanger forward over the stock one?

u would have needed to move it atleast 4.5-5 inch to get it back to stock wheelbase

so its actually moved back over stock?

the front hangers have been moved about 5 inches forward, hence the reason that the mounts currently stick out a bit, they will be braced soon. The front axle is in stock postion with the hilux springs. when i move the diff further forward it will be moving it further forward then the stock postion.
