I am purchasing a gq ute or shorty in the next week or so and was wondering what the best lift kit on the market was for both price and quality. I want to run 35's so i think 4 inch should be enough lift???
goto artic cool treads in Brisbane, i only paid $1500 for the lot fitted 4 procomp shocks i believe they use kings springs, adjustable panhards castor plates and a steering dampener
GQ TD42, 4" lift, 2" bodylift, 4.6 s, detroit lockers, 35,s t3/t4 plus a turbo,
Boopa just PM Dirtpigs off the board or look 4 his members section he will tell you straight no bull on wat there like im reasonably sure he hasnt had no dramas with em and I think he was impressed with the bumpstop style setup on the shock itself

This deal sounds awesum!!
I follow it up. Might have enough left over for a locker now
Bushes adjust corect for 3", plates for 5" so either way is not right. the only way to be perfectly correct is with droparms but they are around $1800.00. most people go bushes on 4"
Tiny
Go Dobinson, have had that on the GQ running 4 inch, but the bushes flogged out in 40 thou. Get the caster correction plates. Really good suspension.
Got dobinson in the GU, have 3 inch at moment, cost 700 fitted (no castor plates/panhard rods needed). Going the 4 inch need a little extra clearance under steps and will level out camper trailer.
Tough dog shocks are pretty good so far on my rig. Mind you the Meglift springs are sagging on the passenger side after 8 months and castor bushes are trashed.
Does anyone have a profile for the castor plates for a 4"? If I can get one I will have them cut out and fit the things.
As for that deal with panhard rods etc for $1500, thats a bargain!

I know its far, but you can give Cheezy Racing in Melbourne a call.
He did a 4"lift and guard chop(including flares), looked after springs, shocks everything on a mates GQ shortyfor about $3500 drive in -drive out, I think....
He already has a 2" body lift and now it should have enough clearance to run 37's!
Cheezy's work is top notch. Longer rear arms, and cut & re-weld front diff ( no dodgy castor plates), drives great on road (no shimmy or vagueness) and FLEXES ITS ARSE OFF IN THE BUSH!!!
go and have a chat to bob at allset springs located at fishermans rd maroochydore ph no is 54796530. ive got 4" dobinson springs with procomp shocks works very well & good ride
