Just wanted to know what is an acceptable Oil consumption for a TD42 Non Turbo.
Last night I topped up my oil, managed to get in 3/4 Litre after 2500 k's since last change, this seems a little excessive to me
Also, what is an acceptable minimum oil pressure at idle when hot, in the Gregorys manual it states 11 PSI, I usually retain about 16 - 20 (mechanical gauge), but I was reading an older thread and someone suggested any less than 25 PSI is death !!!
my td42 burns maybe .2 or .3 around town and cruising on the high over 5000km but if i flog f&*%$ out of it driving lot of steep hill it will go off the stick in 3000km i think it is to do with what angle u drive alot of hills it burns it off on the number 5,6 cylinders
