OkJust fitted new speedo cable as the original one wasnt conected and had no inner to easy but now the speedo bounces all over the place and sticks at 80 or there abouts even when not moving shows over 100 at about 20 any answrs for me

Sounds like the cable is bent somewhere make sure it doesn't do any sharp turns.

maybe some one has been plying with the calibration,try pulling the speedo head out,then pull the cluster apart & checknothing is caught then there are to tags you can adjust.
there is a link on here but i don't know how to show it,or you can bring it to wanneroo & i'll have a look.

all the speedos i have seen bounce, have ended up not long after not working at all,

Its now on 40 when car is of also have a bad earth for the fuel gauge working sometimesthink it is also on dash unit

mine started bouncing, now it's snapped, lol.... went and bought a "universal" cable, is 'bout 8" too short :roll:

isn't too bad tho, can guestimate speed within 5-10kms from the gear/revs
