converting bottle jack to work upside down.....

Post by TX4000 »

anyone have any idea how to convert a bottle jack to work inverted ? I have in mind a feed needs to be drilled or something or check valve needs to be inverted.. its for a press, small one only 600 high or so.. I have the frame sorted just need the jack sorted..

Cheers :)

Yup seen those.. this one is small, for alternators etc. I sussed it out, I have soldered in a pipe to the side of the bottle (the original oil fill hole) and will put a reservoir tank above the height of the bottom (now top) of jack, this ensures that pump is under oil level @ all times, well I hope.. my theory anyway :)

So I guess I sorted my own problem :)

Cheers, and thanks.
