Post by BrettInUte »

OK, so I busted off my radio aerial last week.
Ive got one that runs up the A pillar on the drivers side.

Has anyone got some tips for where to get another new one cheap ??
Cheers

Try strahfield, thats where I brought a new mast for my elec one (hanvt put it on yet). Cost should be about $20. Think I paid $30 for my elec mast.

My electric doesn't retract all the way. Do I need a complete antenna assembly or can I just buy the mast?

i just changed gaurds on my xlt mav so ended up losing the hole that the original antenae comes up through..i just went to my local parts shop and bought a 13 dollar pillar mounted antenea and fitted it up in about 3 mins..i lose the auto up and down function, but as it right near me on the drivers pillar i can adjust it easy from my driving position.. works a treat.

yea thats the only hassle with guard mounted, is remembering to get out to put the fuckin thing down... I killed mine as I was on club trip reminding everyone to lower theirs, branch took it out as I was just hitting the button... :( but pillar mount on drivers side would be a big +
