Loosing Power

Post by Ferwoaza »

Hi all, Heather has been having a problem with the Zook the last two days.

First off, it's not consistant, it ran fine this morning, didn't have a problem.

What is happening is every now and then, usually when going up hill (bit of load), all power just dies.

We went for a test run last night and on our driveway in 2High the power died almost straight away. Put it in 4High and the same thing happened. However, we then put it in 4Low and it drove up no problems.

On sunday I put it into 4Low to do some manouvering on the driveway (loose gravel/dirt) and initally it was hard to put it into 4Low. I'm wondering if I buggered something.

Anyone got any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Has anyone had electrical problems that could relate to this? It s only an idea! This may be the cause.

All plugs and leads are new, checked them and they are dry/look fine. Suspect it's water casuing arcing around the alternator, there are some exposed wires there. I've taped and sealed them all up now. In the dry it's fine, was only happening in the wet, but went fine yesterday morning with a little rain around (after sealing) so we'll see how it goes.

Thanks guys.
