My SWB NH came with 31 x 10.5 tires.
Are they the original size / diametre?
What is the equivalent in the other measurement - 235 x75 x 15? or something similar.
Thanks

80 series Extra Cab - a work in progress.
31x10.5-15 would probably be called 265/75-15 in the new money - and as Grant says, are pretty close to 265/70-16.
The NH GLS came standard with 265/70-15 - approximately 30", although from memory Yokohama list theirs as 29.7" diameter.
I understand that 31x10.5 was standard fitment in the US.
Cheers,
Scott

What is the widest tires I could put on my standard rims without causing problems?
I've seen some that look way too wide for the rims.

235/75-15 are 2" smaller than the 31's you have at the moment - don't do it.
The minimum rim width listed for most 31x10.5 is 7", which is the width of OE Alloys. I don't think you'll find wider tyres rated for a 15 x 7" rim.
The size you have now is probably the single most common size of 15" 4by tyre in the world. There aren't too many tyres which aren't available in that size - why do you want to change?
Cheers,
Scott
