Welcome....
from memory, the later model rockys are IFS, so you will be limited as per the Feroza. Lifted rear springs, and turn up the torsion bars. Some nice shocks, maybe even extented shackles (but they're illegal in QLD).
As rockn said, get it breathen better. exhaust, boost, intake.

Welcome Gopher.
If its a 92, its more than likely still live axle front.
Maybe, consider doing a bodylift and fitting larger tyres. 32"??? And offset rims to prevent or minimise the front tyres from rubbing on the leaf springs. Which is a common problem with Rockys. I had that problem with my Rocky a while back.

Dont expect mere proof to sway my opinion.
Hey Gopher,
I had a 92 TD Rocky for about 5 years before it went to the big secod hand yard in the sky. When I was looking for shock and spring set ups I found it difficult... I ended up with a tough Dog setup from 4 ways suspension. (Opposite Lock stocks Tough Dog gear and would be my first stop, though any reputable suspension/4x4 specialist should be able to nab them.) The Tough Dog was a nitro shock setup, with the springs being military wrap and giving a nice 50mm lift. Just make sure the fitter takes a resting measurement of the old setup and then the new setup and gives it to you in writing. Should you need to claim on warranty you will need this. My warranty claim was a bit of a hassle, but it was a problem with fitting not the gear. The springs lasted ages with little sag and they wore heaps of abuse including jumping dunes in Stockton.
Should you not want the 4 ways setup, Ironman make a lift kit and you can also source one from REPCO believe it or not. Most companies make shocks for them, or you can get pretty damn close with a bit of fiddling. Old man emu do, Monroe do, Gabriel do as does Ironman.
If you are going to fit 31's then I would recommend getting off set rims as the tyres will rub against your springs on full lock, which can cause the springs some trouble.
Hope this helps,
Muddy.

ok ty for the info guys, i went to midas toady to check on doin the exhuast and they quoted me $245 to do 2/14 from the flange back and ive learnt rockys or my rocky doesnt have extractors. anywho i was also up at CHRIS'S 4x4 the other day and mmet him he's a really nice guy told me lots of stuff to do with my rocky aswell. so yea im gonna put longer shackels on plus extend the diff breathers and get a 2' lift kit with coil over axel. any suggestions on that? ummm a second set of rims so i can go offroad or at least better tyres and they exhaust but ill go somewhere where its cheaper maybe noiseworks or macks mufflers i dunno yet. so once again ty for the info it really helped.
Coil over? You mean spring over right? Just bear in mind that this is a pretty gnarly mod and it is seriously going to screw with your on road handling as well as your insurance (it will negate it and is technically illegal in all states I believe if it is not engineered.) I don't know what your experience is driving fourby's, but I would recommend getting to know your truck first especially offroad, learn it's manners and capabilities.
Some people will likely run me down for mentioning insurance and engineers reports and that's fine if you want to take the risk. There are ALLOT of 4x4's getting about illegally modified. Most police are boning up on what is legal and illegal with fourbies now because of the number of complaints and prangs. It is also a political hot potato and getting hotter. Should you have a prang and your illegal or worse, the cops/insurance company can prove it...you're gonna wear it. What is worse, is if someone is injured and you're charged with neg drive cause XXX. The act of negligence is getting the mods and not engineering it and it would be easy enough to prove. It is a serious charge and can result (and does more often than not) in gaol time. At the moment in our area we have a 100% conviction rate, (on neg drive cause XXX charges) mainly cause it is so easy to prove at court.
This is not aimed at anyone in particular, but it shits me how some 4x4 retailers do all this work without explaining the ramifications. As retailers and 4x4 users, they seem only interested in the $$$. I believe that as industry experts, they have an obligation to explain all this and make sure that novices understand this. I am just waiting for the day a 4x4 owner gets knocked off by the cops for an illegal mod after killing someone and the driver + family civilly sue the installer/supplier for not following through on their duty of care to advise them of the affected handling and requirements under law to have it engineered. Don't think it is going to happen...just have a look at the finger pointing, litigious society we live in.
Here endeth the rant and so on... sorry for hi jacking the thread.

Sorry for hi jacking your thread.
Before you go out and drop a heap of money and time on extreme mods, head out and spend some time in your rig man. Get a feel for it and get some experience under your belt. There are heaps of guys on this forum and about that are happy to take you under wing and show you the right way to do it. I was lucky enough as a novice to have guys like Mike H and the WARFS crew to show me how it is done. You can have the trickest vehicle on the patch with a fire breathing big block engine and mad flex and still come unstuck when up against an almost standard fourby with someone who knows about wheel placement and throttle control.
Again sorry about hi jacking the thread.
