haha y do u think we broke on outerlimits weekend??? cuase we were bouncing up a hill and not driving, btw redzook all i said was it rides alot smoother and flexs a hell of alot better , but no we have had this car 4 four yrs bj and it has been wheeled for 4 yrs, u dont think we dont no whats wrong with it cory did try to fix it by putting in a water tank, which did help, just not as much as he would have liked. i have already spent alot in fixing the thing and it has only been wheeled once since it was redone, i would like to fix the problem before it happens again
but anyway back on topic, does anyone know a fundemental way to get more weight, it currently is just a steel tray, 2 tool boxes with a roll bar and a spare (and i aint too worried about this, just thought i would see what other ppl have done , don't u love some of the bs that comes up just from asking a simple question )

Lined my tray with conveyor belting 15mm thick, 90 litre fuel tank at rear of tray, and have bolted the cutting edges of a loader at work(160kg) to the rear of the tray, made a small improvement, but my lux's rear suspension hasn't worked near as well since I took the styleside of it, 3 link coil rear should be in after new year
I use to put bags of cement on my old truck to keep the wheels on the ground, just past the rear axle.

hey aza dad had this same problem with his 83 dual cab styleside.
all he did to help was chuck in a couple of 100 kilo sand bags when wheeling worked good as.
Mine isnt as bad however because my tray weighs jsut over 300kg with sides on it then add my tollbox and 140 litre fuel tank goes real good with allt his on........but u shoudl see it without the tray on almost get bogged reversing up the driveway

dual cab style side would be alot heavier than a single cab tray back , i migh be worried about this someday, but at the moment the ifs seem to be working absolutely awesome, so we will see how it goes.... haha bet i will be too lazy to do anything about it just yet. still having fun moding the car to make it look more like a poser
anyone else have any other ways other than water tanks and bigger fuel tanks?

Don't have to put a spacer kit on the front as surf rear axle is wider, by using rangie bits, also cheaper and wider choice of coils that can be used.
This is prob gonna cost about $500 all up.

Like Ruff said! My tray weighs fark all and I have no problems with hopping. When I have my big toolbox on it feels much worse off road. Just get your suspension sorted and you wont need weight. With about 100-200kg of tools, the total rear weight (sprung and unsprung) was 600kg. Take out tools and your left with 450kg then 200kg of unsprung weight and you're left with 250kg of tray, chassis and fuel.
Also moving your fuel tank to the rear wont add weight but will help with distribution.
