Brake Problem
Ok guys was 4wding yesterday brakes were working normal, gave them a bit of a hard workout climbing soem creek bed walls, now the brake pedal is extremley hard and there is little to no brakes whatsoever. Brakes were working fine before this, i noticed the resivor was a little empty after coming back so i put more brake fluid in but hasnt done anything. BTW its a 83 SWB Paj................
If its not upside down and on fire, I'm not trying hard enough.......

Is it Petrol or diesel?
Idle won't be upset if it's a diesel as it's only a vacuum pump running it.
If it's a petrol, it could be a very small leak in the booster diaphragm or vacuum hose.
Or an even more common one (especially with the number of V6 pajeros I have seen smoking,) the vacuum pipe or t piece gets blocked with oil scum and carbon, give it all a check, especially around the inlet manifold outlet and 1 way valve (if installed)
if it's just blocked up then obviously it won't affect your idle either.

96 Paj 2.8 TD 2" lift, Snorkel, LR Tank, Dual Batt, winch, 32 MTRs, RT tent and rack, polyairs etc
Its petrol, the good old 2.6 litre. Only vacumn hose i can see is a large onw running from the booster to the inlet manifold. Inspected it for leaks and such but couldnt find anything. Might pull it apart toomorrow and have a look and see if its something diabolical..............
