Rob, try your local Autobahn store I got a new idler arm for the Paj last year (Powermax brand) for about $130 I believe the newer design of these has a grease nipple threaded hole for the shaft.

Wow that doesnt sound right at all. The whole idler arm from my dealer here in the US is only 60 dollars or so. I know there is an exchange rate to think about, but still our dollar isnt doing so hot any more.

I was talking about the stock one from the Mitsu dealer, LT. A shiet lot of good life time warranty will do them all the way in Oz, lol :D  .

I wasnt suggesting they go through the trouble of getting the part from the US, I was just so damn suprised that there is such a difference in price between our two countries.

Well tryed autobahn today as well as another parts place and no listing for the arm for my triton...(that was in the powermax cat)

Im un-sure if the Paj one is exactly the same...They didn't have one in stock so wasn't able to even check it out...

May have to bit the bullet and go genuine...

Any other help would be appreciated and thanks for the suggestions so far..

Mate I'd get the Powermax one for a Gen 2 3.0 V6 Paj for $130 if it turns out it doesn't fit you should be able to get your $$ back. As soon as you remove it from the box you will be able to tell straight away.
I'd be very confident it will fit.
The Gen 1 version has 3 mounting bolts the Gen 2 versions are stronger with 4 mounting bolts and they were all the same up until the Gen 3 NM Paj.

It should be in the Tech thread at the top of the forum. ;)

Gen 2 is NH to NL ('91 to 2000)
