Post by matthewK »

everytime i start the patrol every now and then i get a thick blue smoke
on top of that i seems to sux fuel like no other and beside that 2-4 seconds after i put my foot down the motor seems to kick in with a bit of power to get up and go its like the powers not there at first ,

im taking a guess at the blue smoke is the petrol mix is to rich?

more information is required....

Electronic Fuel Injected OR Carby fed motor ????

How much oil is it using ????

Does the "smoke " disappear once its warm ????

Does it blow a small amount each time you start it ( hot of cold ) ????

Does it blow "blue smoke" under hard acceleration ?????

Have you had a compression test done ?????

Have you changed oil brands of late ???? ( some oils are shyte !! )

Valve stem seals or worn guides will give blue smoke on first start up.
