welded frt diff
Knowing that diff lockers arent avalible for a feroza, has anyone welded up there frt diff, i am thinking of buying a spare diff and welding it up.
it will not affect on road performance but it will just make it hard to turn the thing when i 4wd

even though i'm no daihatsu expert, you may find that you will break CVs more when you weld the front diff.
i don't have a feroza, but i have been through 2 CVs with just 31" tyres and unlocked front diff.

But as said, you'll blow the CV's if your not careful
murray was telling us 'bout how strong his roza was with the front welded at PUOSU, then the next day he did a CV driving some pretty easy stuff
you'll have to be heaps careful on the throttle, come off real quick if ya get any bounce

Yeah stick a bloody camera in front of me and see what happens!!!
That's the 2nd CV I've done, although I don't think the 4wd dougnuts I was doing 1/2 an hour before hand helped with the CV strength either...
The welded front is a lot better if your doing slower, technical stuff offroad, but no good on dirt road style driving, I just leave her in 2wd for that stuff now and only lock the hubs in if required.
A better option and something I may do if I get up some dosh, is have a chat to Sam about getting his traction control put in the front and/or back. More expensive, but infinetly better and there is no way you'll break a CV, and you can switch it on and off when required!
