Checking the shock travel

Post by LilBlkDuck »

Whats the easiest way to check the shock travel (coil suspension on live axel) and from what points?
Should compressed and extended legnths be equal?
Lifted, locked, loaded, reduced, rolled, and rowed

Remove shock
Flex until spring begins to unseat(or maxes out)
Measure
Remove spring and lower until sitting on bumpstop
Measure

Viola! Open and closed shock lengths required.
