Air Bags are back in the front of the Pro Comp machine...

Post by Hobzee »

Hey gang, just a quick one to say we put a new set of firestone bags (coil replacements) back in the Pro Comp GU tonight.

We took the original set out at Out Back Challenge when internal bump stops within the bags were pasting themselves and wearing the bags on the mashed bits from the inside out. Originals were too long and high pressure (for speed) meant 8+ inches height. Firestone came to the party and we have shorter bags and we made up some external bump stops which fit between chassis rail and diff.

For those not in the know, we have now have air bags front and rear, controlled internally for -2" to 8"+ and each bag is controlled individually. We are wiring a connecting solenoid between left and right for awsome articulation response - and body roll..

You know how good coils are compared to leaf, well air is that much better again...

Also going to trial the new Pro Comp USA remote canister shocks in the front too.

Stay tuned for progress reports....
