Depends for what use.
Generally about 100 - 106 is what people find most ideal.

I'm 118" with steering stops limiting steering at 27 (from a stock 34)degrees. My hilux is like a cruise liner to steer around tight courses. Added to that is the welded front and rear diffs and boggers (which apparently don't have any lateral traction) and you get the idea. It's just as well my spotter is on the ball
I am thinking of reducing the wheelbase by a foot or so to regain some agility. I will also be adjusting steering stops when I get some 30 spline cromoly cvs which have a larger turning cabability.

Im at 122.5"
I could do with loosing a few inches.
Although I think I like a bit of wheel base, Id be happy with around 115"
Paul.
