GU brakes onto a GQ

Post by RN »

Can you fit the GU brakes onto a GQ. The latet Gu has 17 inch wheels so they may have stuffed big brakes into the wheels.

My Mav brakes are OK but it would be nice to get better anchors.

I think it is the 4.8 petrol that have large brakes that will not fit a standard 15" rim on GQ. Don't quote me on it though but I am fairly sure this is the case. Wendle, Bazzle and maybe even Bogged will be able to confirm if this is true or not.

thata the reason for the 17" wheels.

As for the brakes, Before you start check $$$ , gonna be THousands from Nissan. for the latest stoppers.
Wont be any at wreckers either for a couple of years.

I use DBA slotted and 4x4 pads. Passed Eng brake test on 35's.
