Yep was a good event except having to drive around all bloody night with cheezy in my ear yelling "GUTS ARE YOU AWAKE" I think the thing that really got him was when I swore I seen Ned Kelly in the bush I was that tired by the end I was seeing things
Damage report
Drivers door
Front housing
Front shaft
Front diff (I think)
Flat batteries.
Also because of my stuffed front end I did most of the event in 2wd
Now will I do this event again? YOU BET YA

Yo Drafty, go along for us and pick up our booby prize, haha.
Not sure how we went, but after we finally got going, we had a heap of
fun, damn good event!
Good to meet a few faces off of here and Gutz'es lux was very shiny at the start, glad to hear you didnt have to drag that cable up any hills Cheezy.
The tracks were interesting and there was always stuff tokeep you awake, but it would have been a fair bit harder had it been wet.
Congrat's to Mooney and the other organisers on a well run event, and lookin' forward to next year. 8)

Did someone say BOOBIES :shocked!:
Moose or Cheezy could you get a copy of the results for me please, or at least find out where my brother and Juzza finished. Their team name was Bellarine Boys.
So Juzza what do you think of the GQ's setup, Drew said you had a drive.

Yeah guy's, post up the results when you get them if you can. 8)
Joe i didn't drive it any any real difficult stuff but it gave me a good idea of how capable it is.
Firstly you already know i'm not a fan of wagons for this sort of sh!t so i would be getting the grinder out quick smart.
Next, throw that f**kin' GPS out the window. It handles a lot better from the driver's seat than it feels like in the passengers seat. As a passenger it feels like a big tippy whale but when driving it yourself you can feel that it can be flicked around pretty hard but is still within the limits!
Good power but it's up too high in the rev range,( a TD42 singin' between 3000-5000 rpm hour after hour can get a bit hard to listen to) for me anyway.
Otherwise she's set up pretty good and just needs a lot of little refinements.
I'll be honest though, the rooflights did not compare to Matt's aircraft ones, dunno wether different filters would improve them but they are definitly more suited to open road.

Yeah, i think we found pretty much everything, though the first question on the 'A' stage had us f**cked until we rolled back in at half-way.
As for the ss's our teammates had to do one small winch on the 'A' ss as his rear locker air line had sheared off so that slowed us down a bit and the fast ss was a mad, frequently sideways sprint that could have ended in carnage very easily. Was great fun though and we were doing that one just as it was becoming light on Sunday morning.

But I do own a Hi Lux ( Q78's, Hi steer, crossmember, Custom tray ect, ect.) I dont enter into the Toyota/Nissan BS, I take every rig on its merits and Guts did have and Matt has a top rig that I would be happy to own.
But yes it was different, and no wheel and peddles for me.
I have some results of the Simex
1- Criss Hummer third year in a row.
2- Birdy and Mark
3- Mike Smith
6- Drafty,s Brother and crew
9- Snake racing
ect ect.
I will post all tomorrow when I get the sheet.

Poor cheezy keeped crying everytime I short sifted it at about 3800rpm but then he nearly spoofed himself when I took it out to about 4500rpm
but he was having fun on the slippery conrners as we were going around them at about 45degs (well on a couple of them anyway)
Now cheezy I know there is NO WAY!!!!!!!! my lux would go or drive like an Nas car, ITS TO FARKING SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!
