That is the same amount that I am owed mate, dont worry about what they say. Give them an opportunity to fix it and then go for the throat.
I can't afford much after paying off my truck then another $14,000 these days.
I don't care what they say about the size of there normal jobs, your money was passed over for a service and if you didn't receive that service you are entitled to your $$$ back...

You should be able to get them to fix it free of charge and brought up to a reasonable standard, however, you will not be able to take it somewhere else and get it fixed and present company A with the bill and expect them to pay. Even if you have documented evidence of every time you have been there and what was said, if you have not contacted dept of fair trade and gone through their process you won't get much help from them.
To achieve the kind of outcome you want you will have to bring legal action against them.
Fair trading will do what their name says, fair trading, ensure the trade is fair, talk to them, tell them the situation and the company and they can contact the company and speak to them on your behalf.

I would say a repuatable company is a company that has a Reputation for good work and the Company you mentioned has many Franshises that have a very good reputation so i see no reason to Tar them all with the same brush.
That makes it easy to figure out who it was then

Because when someone says on a public forum they got great service from a company that company doesnt want to sue my arse.
It is a shame and i too would like to know who to deal with and who not to deal with but with the way litigation works these days it just cant happen. There are too many lawyers out there trying to milk every cent out of every person they possibly can. And they are not going to get a cent out of me or my Website if i have anything to do with it.
And i think i made it pretty obvious i didnt want this site to have anything to do with naming this company. So posting what i have just removed isnt really a good idea is it
Mate I hear you. I always have had the diffs set up by one guy all the time. When I put the second locker in he was flat out so I relented and got another company to install the airlocker. It will be last time too. They left out the locking tabs on the bearing and when I jacked up the wheel it was flopping all over the place. Very slack & dangerous. They also did the same thing to a mates car when they fitted his air locker as well. The problem they use T/A's and one head mechanic to check it (and doesn't). The only I won't do myself is injector pump, other than that I'll do it myself. Of course I mean no disrespect to decent tradesmen, just been burnt before.
I forgot to say a HUGE thankyou to Linc BIGGQ for his assistance and his advice in this serious matter, trust me, if you don't beleive me he knows the Whole Story...
Take it back to see if they will rectify all the problems. If you no longer have any faith in the original shop then take it to another reputable company and have them go over the car. Then re-approach the first one to rectify or respond to the problems found. If the problems persist, see in this order: * Senior management * MVRIC * Dept of Fair Trading
But you must first give the original workshop the opportunity to answer your concerns.
They have been around for ages and should be eager to make sure their customers are not just happy, but ecstatic when they spend $14k in their shop.
What are people's opinions to do if this process doesn't result in a favourable outcome? I have a mate who's going through this process largely because he has ended up with a basically brand new and now unengineerable Hilux after paying a well-known fabricator to SAS it for him, amongst other things...
It would be good to hear some advice on what to do if this happens, as it's not the first story I've heard. I think that especially when playing around with suspension geometry there is definitely the potential to totally screw up a very expensive vehicle.
