Electric speedo to mechanical speedo on auto

Post by bulldogy »

hey Guys
Im going duals and at the moment my auto has an elecronic speedo sendor in the tcase.
When i go duals they have the mechanical type speedo cable .
Does anyone know how i can keep the electronic speedo unit is there any conversions around that can overcome this.
I think if i went to a cable speedo it may affect my auto but not sure ?
So what i want is a machanical speedo sender to electronic speedo does that make sens ?
Help

Mate, there's a guy on another forum that has these. I've pasted his website below. I think from memory they are about $150 mark.

Good luck.

you need to get a speedo drive from a late model lux with electronic speedo and gear drive box, then you can just extend your wires to meet up with the new drive.

i've got t700 in my shorty & i'm using a mechanical drive . got what i need through "flexdrive" works fine not a problem .& wasn't real dear from memory it cost about $60
it's never a problem until it can't be fixed, even then it' only a minor set back
