DO YOU WANT A BRISBANE 4WD PARK

Post by realux »

Superior Engineering and Ahegani PTY LTD will be constructing a new 4wd park at burpengary north brisbane this year.
We are calling for expressions of interest in all aspects of this park.
We would much like some feedback on the courses you guys and girls would prefer to be built. All the courses will be man made with machines such as dozers, bobcats, excavators.
The park will be mostly for competition use ,but not restricted to the big boys trucks with 44 swampers etc. we will be more inclined to construct it for the registered type vehicles. But it all comes down to the feedback we receive.
you can email mick on superior4wdshackles@hotmail.com
Any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Their will be lots of rocks trust me they will be big!!! but what we really need to know is the numbers of people interested in the different type of competitions eg. gymkanas, short courses, hill climbs/short and damn steep! mud runs and any others not mentioned. This park probably will not be setup for camping just to make a note. I am also calling on 4wd clubs who are interested in this type of park.

Thats the main reason for us building a park close to brisbane. On the northside of brisbane the closest good 4wd park is landcruiser mountain park, but its a damn long way to drive for a few hours fun. We are hoping on completion of this park it becomes a real success ,the key to it becoming a success is the feedback we can get from the local 4wd users.

Awesome. Our club (Logan District 4WD Club) would definately be interested in talking to you about holding events there. With the amount of public land closures going on, it would be good to have somewhere so close to go wheelin'.
Would you allow our club to hold a night navigation run on the property??

Who would be the person I should be talking to at your club.
Maybe I could come to one of your club meetings and discuss our ideas further. When and where are your club meetings held?? :)
Night nav runs would probably come down to whether insurance allows it,(hopefully yes is the answer)

The land is back from the boat ramp pretty much directly opposite where there is a new boating club to be built, there is a sign on uhlmann road on the right as you head towards the south pacific marine or the water traetment plant, and the land is on the left . It runs 2 klms back from that point behind the house line and forward from that point about a 1/2-1 klms.
That should give you guys a good idea where the fun will be :!: :!:

Hey

Well, I have never competed before, but would like too.

I would like to see maybe a mud run course being made, rock crawling, and maybe a tracks designed to test a vehicles capability and driver skill on times couse.

Hills climbs, big ruts, mud, rocks, creeks... the usual.....

competitions like timed events, night runs, vehicle tests, like flex and traction etc.

just wondering how come you havent competed before.
Is it because the comps you have been to were not suited to you or another reason maybe?
or you just dont want to trash you truck? :)

Nah

Only had the car 4 months, and been fixing it up (I got it cheap from a yard with some problems)

Its all done now (except bearings at the front, last item!)

So ready to compete.

Just one question, what will be the setup with Insurance ??? I hope you are not going to go down the cams road .

I notice a lot of people on here are running unregistered rigs so 3rd party extensions are out, 3rd party property will not cover racing / events and in this day and age Public Liability Insurance would be a killer .

I ask because off all the hassles we had with the Manx Club when we set it up. Ended up getting 10 mil public liabilty but has a few constraints on it.

So what your plan ? If you don't mind me asking ???
