Went Saturday also and had a great day. Watched the Challenge guys up the first track, was great to see some of the trucks in action. Enjoyed the Second Stage where both classes were running in the same central area so you could see them both in action at the same time.

Heres a couple of pics that we took:

Excellent weekend :D :D :D :D

Excellent comp :D :D :D

My first ever entry, or even attending for that matter :D :D :D

I finished the first two tracks and only made the 400 mark on the third. I think I need to work on the finesse thing though....I accumulated 2190 penallty points     :? :?

Witch's hats, what witch's hats

Also put a great huge gouge in the driver's door :P :P

Hopefully in June my usual (note I didn't say "normal") navvy will be there and we'll work on missing the witch's hats and redcuing other penalties also.

Overall I got 14th out of 19, which doesn't sound all that hot, but I'm rapt, I beat a number of cars that were far meaner than mine and drivers who were more experienced. Roll on June

Heaps of thanks to Brett, Shane and all those who made the day a great one!!

being an old fart i can't remember all the results but we got 4th on track 1, equal 1st on track 2 then had a shootout after the comp and won that so officially came 1st on track 2, 3rd on track 3 and won the challenge class overall and $250.00 cash :D
Buddha beat chris by 20mm on the travel ramp saturday night.

BTW ... the weekend went off really well with some excellent tracks marked out ... Rolly and John did an awesome amount of work to get everything organised.
Pete did a great job at the briefing and the officials and marshalls did a brilliant job as well.
there was lots of carnage on track 3 but recoveries were pretty quick [about 10 to 15 mins] compared to the last time i was there when they were up to 2 to 3 hours.
i think there was 17 challenge class vehicles through track 3 in about 3 hours.

was good to see so many new competitors do so well

oh yeh, just one more thing ...

had a great weekend with a few standout performances that come to mind.. big reds run in the shootout was basically flawless and didnt leave jeff with much room for error..however i was mega impressed with jeffs "big red" gq wagon, great to see a wagon competing well against the utes and the new crawler gears and maxxis creepy crawlers have really made this wagon a tuff competitor..... was also impressed with whitewizards run up stage 3 on sunday, he gave that gu a hell of a hard time.... big blue mav for smashing crap outta his wagon on stage 2 (get some sliders dave) .... scotty in the cement mixer for crawling stage 3 in double double double double low 1st and who could forget ian with the cressida on the travel ramp  it was " fully sick mate"

well done to the tuff tracks club and to all the guys and gals who were out in the hot sun all weekend... for a first event it ran pretty smooth and im sure the few small issues will work themselves out.....this event is certainly gunna get bigger and better

and lastly well done shane and chris on winning challenge....

cheers david

Chris is fine and the driver of the other vehicle was take by ambulance to get check out but he seemed ok.

Rear diff was nearly torn out but the boys managed to get it back in and the rear trailing arm mount was ripped off, they managed to patch it and keith in the bundera from trophy class was able to take the bundy of the trailer and put chris's truck on the trailer and I believe that chris drove the bundy home. Starky took chris's trailer after a A frame midification.

I am sure when Chris is ready and on line he will fill you all in on what and how it happened.
