i just replied to your other thread. use a V6 pump, with your bracket. run a remote reservoir. the v6 and v8 pumps are the same, except for the body, which has a built in reservoir in the v8 type. i can get you a new or reco pump fairly cheap.

Who says?
It's hydraulic, the pump has no idea if it's pumping uphill.......now you "might" have a problem with the reservoir wanting to overfill when dead, but they make a clamp on extension for that reservoir about 12" with a dipstick, look for it on Chrysler FWD cars..........

It should still work alright but try to make the lines as long as possible mates 45 with 308 and same pump overheated the pump and box cause the lines where to short Hj75 has a loop running across the front under the rad on the return line to cool fluid or ea-ed falcons have small coolers under radiator. The cap that screws on should be fairly tight to stop water getting in.
I'm not stuck I'm over here!

Hmmm I hadn't thought of that,
Better steer away from water more than 1m deep or more.

I have spoke to a Power steering place today who are making my hose's, He had a look at some photo's of the location and he has no problem with it![]()
I do have a plan to stop water or mud entering via the filler
Cheers Dazz
does that include on rainy days?

pcman wrote:and im hoping you are fitting a cooling line infront of the radiator or a actuall cooler??
there really really short lines so theres gonna be no cooling going on
now hurry up and finiah it so you can go wheeling again
I may fit a cooler at a later stage but power steering guy reckon not really needed with the tyres I am running.
Also he mentioned that they make up a Gm (saginaw) pump to retro fit inplace of a standard landcruiser pump
not really needed ???
so does this mean that
its not needed
that it may be needed but he dosnt really know
its reccomended to fit one
its a good idea to fit one
a cooler will only cost you 25-30bux go to wreckers and get a power steering cooler from a small japo car considering you have toi get custom lines made whats the point in paying to get them made twice again after you fit the cooler ???
and anyway once you have power steer you will end up getting bigger tyres
