GQ coffin tank help

Post by 0xyg3n »

I have a GQ LWB on gas/petrol. Recently noted petrol smell when tank over half full and car aiming up hill. Traced leak to worn hose from filler neck of the after market coffin tank and the fuel filler neck where fuel is added. Hose had rubbed through on rear sway bar when car was fully flexed. My dilemma is trying to buy new hose to replace the worn piece. Have tried an LPG fitter, PGS $X$ in Mornington Vic, Bursons and a few other stores. Anyone else had to replace this hose and if so where can you buy it.
Thanks
Alan

Al you're in luck. I'm in Narre Warren. Clarks Rubber next to Bunnings is where I got mine from. Take your's out first to get exact length as it's not cheap.

Thanks a ton, will remove the old one tomorrow and head down. My biggest concern was getting hose that was fuel resistant. Lots of places had hose but it would have turned to goo when in contact with ULP. Any idea of the cost of the hose and a type to ask for ?
Thanks Again
