Im just about the mount my engel in the 4by and the end of the fridge will be up against a solid surface. Its got vents on the side and top too, but im wondering how much ventilation a engel needs ?
Should I be rethinking how I mount the fridge so then vents on the back have pleantly of room ?
Ive seen other people mount them with what seems like a solid surface to the back. But im just not sure..
THanks

Heres a trick that works well if you want to put a fridge (Engel or 3 way) up against a solid surface, or ventilation will be restricted. Get a couple of 12volt computer fans, and mount them inside the casing so they blow air across the condensor, and wire it up to the 12 volt terminals. It makes 3 ways work really well on 12v.
In fact, Engel now does this to their larger fridges, Its called Turbo Cooling. I have had a 3 way modified like this for about 8 years.
