Just bought a camper trailer with 2 fully sealed 50 litre water tanks either side and am wondering how I keep these clean from algae etc over time plus whilst not in use.
Would I just drop in a sterile tablet every few months and would I store the trailer with the tanks full of water to avoid algae etc?
All help and tips from campers appreciated.
Cheers

...i've been told that Milton baby bottle sterilising solution is just the shite you'd be after....is in a lightish blue 1L bottle in most supermarkets and chemists.
Dilute...let it slosh around for couple of days, dump, and you're rockin

I deliberately drain all the water out of my water tank when not in use. Its something I have always done, and never had any troubles with algea. When I bought a second hand camper last year, and the previous owner told me he had never used the tank, I put some water PURIFICATION tablets in it first time I used it, bought from a camping store. I didnt use steriliseing solution or tablets, cause I didnt want the crap after taste.
