Im after a vitara but i have been told that the old models round 90's eat fuel quick just wanted to know how many k's you get out of a full tank?

I have an 89 model 1.6L carby vitara

when it was more stockish i would get less than 10L per 100ks, even when flogging the nuts off it it wouldnt get over 15L/100ks

with the 33's around 15L/100ks is more normal...

I used to get 9-10l/100km when it was stock.

That's hardly pumping fuel through.

Obviously bigger rubber takes mroe effort. Expect similar economy to a similar sierra in most conditions... there's not much weight difference.

bone stock: i could get about 450 kms out of a tank. (35L)

235/75's on: about 420 or so.

31"s on: about 400 (but secondary on stock mikuni carb never opened.)

31"s with weber: 380 normal driving / 300 with secondary open all the time

'89 soft top. weighs 1050KG no driver full tank of fuel.
