Hay ratlux are you going 4in coils or 2incoil with 2in block?
4in coils wont get insurance if you do dont have an accident cause when they figure it out they wont pay
2in coils are ok but 2in blocks are not ok with airbags so yeah thats from what i have been told over time but allways best to ring around insurance mobs b4 you fit stuff

dude, when i got my insurance with RACQ, tehy said i could get 4" lift, but i didnt ask if that was springs or blocks or whatever. ive been told that 34's fit ok with 2" coils i think it was. so you might not need all that lift. and besides that check with an insurance company they are the only ppl that could tell you if they will insure it. just car insurance wich is part of AAMI will insure anything...........at aprice

cauled RACQ today they said that anything up to 4" is fine
as long as it is legal. Dose anyone have a a 4" lift that is legal
or has a engineers cirtificate to make it legal.

legal is 1/3 of the bump stop... works out to be just a lil over 2 inches in patrols...

If you want it 100 percent legal... 2 inch body lift and 2 inch coils are the way to go to acheive 4 inch lift...

but i wouldnt recommend the body lift as it may be more trouble than its worth.

Queensland Transport won't allow anything over 50mm. That includes a combo of body and suspension. You'll find that the only reason you'll need the lift is for clearance or really big rubber. I think roldit off this site has a 3" lift and is still running 36" pedes. If you go for a 3" lift with softer springs it'll sit just above your average 2" lift and if you get shockies to suit the 3" then you'll have fairly good travel and still be able to fit bigger rubber and get insurance. ;)

Yep, works a treat. Click on my sig line link to read what I have done to make it work. Only minor and cheap things too.
