Flares for 4 door wanted

Post by Brad C »

Hi to all , im chasing a set of Rangie Spares 4 door flares if anyone has a set they havent yet fitted . Frieght isnt a drama .

Also i fitted a set of the front radius arms from Rover Tym in the U.S , the result was amazing , the camber was immediatly rectified and driving is that now of a standard height , even though its 3 inches over on the front . The idea now is to find a great set of front shocks [long enough] and not Rancho , any ideas would be great !

Thanx in advance

no there is no vibration at all , as the diff housing with the new arms has rolled back to the original position , so there is no angle off the camber thus twisting the diff off center and the arms are made to take up to 5 inch over coils . Check out the site www.rovertym.com , also yes i have a series 2 Disco shaft that i got and fitted , i believe Triumph Rover Spares has one with all the flanges for $300 . www.triumphroverspares.com.au . The steering is no longer a bit skittish and HSV RANGIE did a similar set up and noted a huge difference as well .
I drilled out the bushes a bit on the front , and unboleted the front shock and jacked it up as high as i could - i need longer brake lines -and went 4 inches past the full extention of my shocks - the brake lines were like piano wire - and the arms were not even near maxed out . as soon as i get my usb cable for my camera i will post some pics .

yeah its a Rangie spares one , I picked it up from a guy who never got around to fitting it up for $50. It was no dramas and works a treat , i just got industrial vaccum hose and plumbed it in . I was hoping to get some flares and fit them up this week , but the Rangie Spares ones are pritty expencive for what they are at $150 per flare new and no replacement ones if you smash them , its a pitty that with so many enthusiests out there someone hasnt come up with a set similar to the L/R Defender type construction . With my off set rims and wide mud tires they stick out a bit and Mr Plod often has a look , I have already trimmed up the front and inner rear guards but the tires still foul on the outer lip of the door and often rip lugs off so it looks like flares are the go , they will just have to wait abit ....$600 and then freight to W.A. is ffffrrriiiggghhtning :bad-words: anothe $50 .

FEEDBACK/UPDATE:

Well, with a lot of help from this board (thx to all), I contacted Rangie Spares a while back, and ordered my set of flares for my Discovery 5 doors. They left Melbourne May 2nd, and I recievied them yesterday (May 14th) without any hassle - I live in Saudi Arabia.

Three words: GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE (thanks Andrew). They were also kind in making sure that they got the most cost efficient shipping...although, being the first to install them in the Gulf, and with a potential of having several more trucks outfitted with them, they did not go below their stated price (was looking for an "introductory" price).

All in all, the combination of the flares, RTE 2" Body Lift, & OME suspension worth a total of 1,135$, my 36" SXs will have room to florish!

Thanks again for everyone...Now to the bigger basket...Maxi-Drive!Will get back to you on this in a bit! :finger:

rangie spares will have some custom bilsteins available in August. They are 4" longer open and 2" longer closed. This may suit you. They will be available for $495.00 a pair.

Rangie spares does sell the flares individually and have done so since day 1. They take about 5-10 days to get.
