Which shock? - thanks - going Koni!!
OK, read heaps of threads on this with different opinions.
Money aside, which is a better proposition - Koni or Pro-comp shocks?
Not concerned with the $$ side of things, more reliability and longevity of the shock.
So if you would say the Koni is a beter hock, but you can't justify the cost then say the Koni is better.
I am looking at buying in the next day or so, so would appreciate comments (both good and bad) from people who have used them. If someone has used both, which did they prefer? Why did they change from one to the other?
Thanks

I went into a shop recentley and the guy in there told me that tough dogs were crap because the eyes at either end are tack welded in a few places and not a continuouse weld.
Anyone who knows a bit about welding knows you don't need a shit load of weld to be strong and that the amont of weld on there is heaps strong enough.

Had Koni;s on my SWB GQ for 5yrs and have been very happy with them. They now have about 200 000km and they still work. Even though the back two have bent shafts (broken trailing arms and panhard cuased this) and they leak abit of oil they still work well. Even with fast bush work.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY....

Koni been round for yrs procomps havent, so if your only interested in long lasting, then Koni it would have to be - proven over time.
What suspension lift are you after?
I can get you Koni shocks for $180 each, normally $220each.
I think Procomps are great but you can't go past the Koni's.

Thanks all for your comments.
Ended up with Koni's (thanks for the offer 4WD Stuff, but I too get good prices on auto parts) and King Springs.
2" lift installed yesterday and rides beautifully.
Thanks again.
