Yes I did one for a client last year, straight forward fit except you have to modify the alternator braket slightly to swing the alt closer to the engine. I used the lexus transmission & mated it to the LT230. Goes quite well but unless you were going to run twin turbos or something extra you can drop in a slightly modified 4.6 and get the same kilowatts without having to engineer anything. Lexus V8 190kw approx. Rover 4.6 160kw ( easy to get extra 30kw). Two disadvantages of the lexus motor is cost of spare parts, ie : starter motor (probably cheaper to get another engine at $1000 a pop) & I wouldnt want to be doing a water pump in the middle of the simpson.

Zuffen on this group has a 1UZ in his Dakar.

The 1UZ replaced a hot John Davis 4.6. He says the 1UZ has a lot more up high and just as good down low.

Did you make the toy auto to lt230 adaptor yourself? I'm trying to source something at the moment if you could help.

Josh.
