COOLANT LEAK????????

Post by Terry_Toyota »

hey everyone,

i have a coolant leak, in my Ford Maverick 91 mod (4.2 petrol), its not the raditater, the leak drips under the motor, i followed it to the bottom pully but it goes above that i couldn't see any further but i could feel that it was all wet, so what is brocken, gasket seal? wealsh plug? (hopefully not), some thing to do with water pump? is there any commin problems that happern with the Nissans/ford mav?

any help would be good thank you.

Cheers Nick :D

probably water pump seal - and when that leaks it usually indicates pump bearings are on the way out.

How about replacing the water pump with one of those high volume ones. Dont know who sells them though. :? I believe they have a different set of impellors. :?
