Mitsu Genuine Suspension Up and Down
I have a J Top that has adjustable suspension (up and down).
The problem is the reservoir for the fluid is low, so much so that it only goes up sometimes !
Can anyone please tell what fluid i need to buy to fill it back up as i am about to change diff oils, t/case oil and would like to do this at the same time.
Just on the oils was thinking Bimrose Lim Slip 90 for LSD and whats everyone thoughts on putting same oil in front diff.

Wow, never heard of anyone actually having this option. Thought that was a JP version only option. Somewhere here I think someone has posted a link to AU shop manuals...if it is an AU rig

Hello xlrate - welcome to Outer Limits.
The height adjustable suspension was never sold in Australia. Only a few grey imports have it, so knowledge on the system is a bit thin around here. But we have members scattered all around the world, so chances are somebody knows the answer to your question - but you'll probably have to wait a while.

I found these in my CAPS programme for a Gen 2 swb 3.0 V6.
As you can see there is a hydraulic ram that acts on the torsion bars instead of a manual adjuster. The rear also uses a cone shaped hydraulic piston over the coils. It's hard to tell how much the oil tank holds (maybe 1-2ltr) but I would say normal grade hydraulic fluid should do the trick.

I restored the operation of suspension lift mechanism on my Paj just before Xmas last year.
The oil you need is 10 weight hydraulic oil.It doesn't matter what brand just the weight.
If you want more info on this subject just ask. like for instance want wire to cut to stop the system from going down past 40 kph.

In behind the left side (rear passenger) plastic covering is positioned the ECU for suspension lift system. The best news is that you don't have to take out the whole plastic covering, you can access the ECU through the ashtray on the plastic panel. Once you have the ashtray out (one screw) you'll find a little box with a loom connected to the bottom of it. Unplug the loom and you can partialy pull out of the ashtray hole and locate the YELLOW/WHITE wire (Not the yellow/silver wire). With this wire you can either cut and tape the ends up or you can as I have, connect a longer wire to each end and put a switch in between. This gives you the option to have the speed drop down bypassed or not.
If you chose to have a switch you can locate the same wire under the piece of plastic that covers the passenger door bottom door jam but be very careful which wire you pick up.(there is quit a number of them).
This mod will make the make the dashboard light come on occasionally but does not do any harm.
Please remember this mod is suitable for off road only not for highway use.

The light I refer to is one that tells you that suspension height is at the high position. It flashes on and off.
A little more info, the wire that gets cut is a from speedo which gives a signal( at around 40 Kph) to the suspension ECU to drop to the lower position. I think what happens is the ECU does a diagnostic check out.
The light goes out if the ignition is turned off.
I have a switch put in the wire of my Pajero, in this case the suspension height light does not flash on my dashboard.
