IN NEED OF ANOTHER ENGINE 6G72

Post by Grantw »

I am need of a 3L V6 in good condition. Mine is up for reco and the rebuild will take me some time (wondering about the supercharger) so I am in need of a good low kms engine that will last. Considering I do 1500kms a week in my beast, it needs to be faultless. I cannot afford the car to be off the road. Any leads or help would be appreciated.

Also, has anyone put aftermarket seats in the GLS SWB??? (without losing the suspension base....)

Thanks

I can't help with the motor but i put some new seats in mine on the original base. I don't don't know if it is the suspension base though having never seen another paj seat base. I got the seats from alljap on sandgate road there for $200 and they are 10 times better than the origianl items. bolted to the origianl base easy with only some new holes drilled.

The suspension base would actually have a knob, to adjust the suspension. It would be pretty obvious if you had one. They settle a little when you sit down in them.

I have the grey velour suspension seats. I ahve tried the likes of Saas and Recaro but there is a shock/spring in the centre of the base, to allow the suspension that pertrudes 75mm into the actual seat. Just wondering if anyone has had any success finding a comfy chair that utilises the spring base. I dont want to lose that bounciness. "Redrocket", I dont think you have suspension seats, they only came in velour GLS hardtop models..
