GQ manual to auto?

Post by familybus »

i have a mate who wants a GQ auto but we are finding hard to get one in sydney for the price hes willing to spend (@ $6,000) so the only option we seem to have is buy a manual one and change it to an auto!
what i need to know is how much would it cost to do the conversion i.e price for a box and pedals etc etc? is there someone in sydney that can basicaly have the vehicle takin in and picked up all done? and last but not least is there anyone out there who has one for sale in sydney already an auto perhaps? thanks guys

i would imagine it would cost a hell of allot more than maybe paying a few extra dollars upfront for an auto.... and an arful lot more effort. :!: .....save for an extra couple a weeks and buy an auto and maybe look further a field for a truck...

IF he is only spending $6k all up, the auto will be around $2-3k for a good reco one, so that dont leave much to buy the car, or the other parts for the conversion.
