Carby Acid
I believe that when the pros rebuild carbies, they let them sit in an acid overnight. Can anybody tell me more about this process and where I can get some? I'd prefer to use the hard core stuff than regular aerosol carby cleaner. Any hints?

A little off topic:
When I stripped my carby for the first time I cleaned it in an ultrasonic bath. Some companies offer this service although I personally had access to one.
The pieces are placed in special detergent and then ultrasonic vibrations are sent through the liquid. This process cleans all the bits back to original condition or very close.
It is amazing to watch all the cra* come out of places that cannot be reached by hand.
I would recommend this process to anyone who is stripping their carby.
As for costs I am not sure..

Thanks for the tips guys. I've just finished the rebuild. I let the parts soak in kero overnight and them gave them a good blast out with carby cleaner. Hope I wasn't wasting my time. Sprayed myself in the eye twice doing it!
And Wendle - you do have the right person but wrong part of the force.
