air con filter for GU4.5 st

Hey all
l was wondering if anyone knew where the filter is for the air con was???? if there is one and can you clean it?


I've have a problem everytime I turn on the ac it smells like dirt/dust.

I have a GQ which I find the air out of the A/C smells stale when the air is on recirculatory, ie only cabin air, no fresh air. Smell goes away on fresh air.

You might have dirty air vents if you are into the great out doors and the A/C is just pumping the dirty air around ( a bit like ducting heating in homes...they need a clean out from time to time)

I also share your vehicle model & smell, run air con & spray some of ya mum's glen 20 in the intake. It does help. This tip thanks to a friends wedding day prank that had a nice bate smell when air was used.

might spend some time trying to clean it first with compressed air and then spray its with good old glen 20

but l took out the glovebox and cleaned the fan and the filter that l was refering to was the pollen filter which is fitted to some cars.

all european holdens(barina's vectra's etc) have them and some nissans do according to the service books. but i don't think patrols do as i have searched the heater box on mine for one.
