Cleaning Fuel Tanks

So, ive been having heaps of fuel related problems with my rover.

So far -
-Changed the slow electric fuel pump for new
-Changed all filters we could find
-Pulled and cleaned carbies, they are all fine & functioning

The problem-
The flow of fuel becomes very stagered to the point where it can only just feed one carby, so the engine chugs on 4 cyclinders both under load and when reving in nuetral.
I checked the tank tonight, and there is a bit of crud in the bottom which may be blocking the pick up.

So is there any special products to aid the cleaning process? Or is it just going to be flushing the crap out with fuel through the drain plug?

Any advice would be great.

Drain plug into a container. Flush through a few times.

May want to remove pump from top of tank and shine a torch in etc.

remove the tank, and then do it so you can swish the fuel around before you drain it out each time. If you have a compressor you could disconnect both ends of the fuel line and blow it out with highpress. air to make sure you get rid of all the blocks.

if you still have trouble after flushing the tank try drawing fuel from a clean jerry can to see if the rest of the system is o.k.

Im going to drop the tank tomorrow and do all the suggested. I had already planned to do the lines with a compressor and gun.

i know you can get a kit to flush and line the inside of a petrol tank for a motorbike never seen one for a car tho might be worth looking into i gaveup when i couldnt find anything online about it in australia then went straight lpg so no need for petrol tanks anymore
