fj45 chassis cut down

hey all, im goin to cut my chassis down just behind rear shackles and i was wonderin if its legal in qld and wats the best way to cut it? any help will do.

Not sure if its legal or not. But just cut it with a 9"grinder.

No one will notice mate, i did it on my old 45 and cut down the tray at the same time.....looked farkin sick. You can use 5mm U channel for a rear bumper as well.

Mine is the same. You can still fit a decent size tray on without affecting your departure angle. As long as you keep it tidy, no one will notice.

k kewl but how much did you's cut off the chassiss and did u cut tray down or leave it

Cut it just behing the spring shackle perch leaving just enough rail to weld a rear bar back on. I use a Hilux Xtra cab tray.

Cut it square and weld the new bar, or the old one back on. You can make the tray whatever length you like.
