Guys, I know it's a bit of a b@stard that the off-road expo is on at Cruiser Park, but this run should be good. And it will be a hell of a lot cheaper than the expo. It's only $5 for Logan club members, and $10 for non-members. How's that for a cheap night out?? :!: I spoke with Chris, the organiser, last night, and he reckons you'd get a family wagon round easy. But if you want to play, there is plenty of hard options. He even got himself stuck while setting it up with twin lockers, and then burnt out his winch motor trying to recover himself. But that track's been a bit modified now.
So, if you weren't planning on coming, come. If you are planning on coming, tell all your mates about it and get them, to come too. (Just challenge them to beat you. I'm yet to meet a 4-wheeler who can walk away from a challenge!)
What about all the Outerlimits guys that came to the last one? Big Red, Nick, Bubs, 83 Lux (well, I know you can't make it :( ). Will we see the appearance of these trucks for another Logan run???

Hope to see you all there guys.
Simon.

If i wasn't working i would be there as they are heaps of fun and as marshy said you usually have a couple of options on the checkpoints so you can go as hard as you want.
the travel sections also keep your interest up by the different thing you have to do along the way.
well worth going :D

Awesome guys. Sorry you can't make it Big Red. I was hoping to see you try and go one better than last month. Doesn't matter, you would have had to out-drive me this time. :finger: hahahaha.
Lil menace, have you been on a Logan night run before?? If not, you'll love it dude. And, a zook on 33's? Very 8) Bring it out for a play!

Yeah mate, no worries. There will be an easy way around all the tough stuff, and if you do get stuck, there won't be a shortage of people prepared to give you a tow. Come out and play man, the more the merrier. 8)

This was an Awsome run tonight i only just got home not long ago. I beleive Marshy would still be out there trying to put the gearbox back in his rig

We(me and Nick) spanked every section with no points lost. Its amazing what his surf can do when its actually got some power. And a decent driver :finger: :finger: Yep i kicked him out of the drivers seat after the first check point

I beleive there were 32 vehicles competing. I will try and find out the final results tommorrow.
Im off to bed now post more after lunch when i wake up.

Got home at about 3:30am. The ride home was very, hmm how can I put this,...interesting. A 45 series Landcruiser that can't have the engine running, so no brakes, no power steering, being towed along the motorway home. :?
It's now about 9:30am, and so far, the gearbox and transfer seem to be OK. Started pulling them out about 1/2 hour ago. I'm thinking now might be a good time to upgrade to a 5-speed box. Can anyone tell me if I can get one to bolt straight up?
Total damage for the night: 1. All 4 bolts holding gearbox to bellhousing, stripped and fallen out. 2. Rear tailshaft screwed about 580 degrees and snapped. 3. Exhaust ripped off. 4. Slight carnage to drivers side rain channel from kissing tree in CP1. 5. Stuffed alternator. 6. Flat battery. 7. Big dent in my moth-filled wallet.
And to make matters worse, I was stuck pretty good in CP2. (for about 1 1/2 hours). I had the car under about 2 1/2 feet of mud. It took one car with a double-line winch, one car with a single line winch, and two other vehicles as winch car anchors to get me out. To make matters worse, one of the competitors that was recovering me, was my boss! And, worse again, he got photos of me stuck! This is not good.
Well, better get off here and go do some more work on my truck. I think I should just sell the POS and get a pushy. :?
Simon.
