Most probably Simex ET 32" x 9:50's which actually measure 32.6" or so I'm told. Rims will be offset 30mm, too (my old rims)..
this idea could change, tho

GOOD NEWS from the engineer - its all been approved and
the bruiser will be going to get a RWC sometime this week.
This is extremely good stuff

Bruiser passes RWC (Road Worthy Certificate)

The Bruiser just dropped in without the aid of a trailer, quite exciting really

Passed the RWC, only needed a new tail light globe and a hand brake adjust. (was all new globes, don't last long do they)

As he left, the sound of the motor was incredibly sweet.

Now to wait for the engineer papers and book in for the number plates.

Alls going well, registration process booked in for tomorrow, Thursday 21st April. I bet he's looking forward to getting number plates.
Still more Off road type stuff to do, but not much.

and if you ever get sick of that power - guys have made 185 rwkw on standard internals by just adding the turbo ecu/manifold/intercooler and T28. and that engine is 2 years old and still running.

you'd easily get 150 rwkw

You guys have been pretty spot on with every thing but did anyone else notice that in the photos from the wandin 4wd show that the flex shot showed a very stretched brake line on the front?
Absolute beast you need to attach a sound file so those of us that cant hear it can have a listen to how sweet it is

altho I can't see it in the photo, he has got a spring connected to the longer than stock front brake lines, to hold them out the way when not flexed, maybe thats why it looks so tight???
Will tell him to check that out, just in case, but its an easy fix, anyway.

we going out for initial proper test on Monday, pix to follow.

Yeah, the brake lines are plenty long enough - the angle of the photo was deceptive.

With regard to the turbo thing- whilst there isn't really enough room atm, I'm sure it might be possible, but not really a good idea. Part of the reason that joey built the LWB was to run an auto to calm the thing down a bit. with a turbo, you would never have enough traction with a 1100kg zuk to load up the motor and prevent wheelspin. I think it would be less drivable on and off road with more power.

Joey used the SR20DE because they are light and cost effective. Trust me, it's pretty sweet on the road. 140hp is plenty for a leaf sprung car.

He uses high temp engine enamel on near everything, so I'm guessing its that.
No priming, or undercoat needed, and very fast drying, and very strong paint.

sure is, very close to home, enough good stuff for testing, but not enough for a full day.....unless its wet, then there is some real good stuff....this time was dry and dusty, almost bulldust like.

He's fired up for the off road mods, now, like lock the diffs tyres and gearing......but life and reality get in the way sometimes :(

No major jobz done this week.
Some bonnet vents have been fitted... to ease the strain on cooling system, both motor and auto.. thermo maybe needed on the auto cooler.
A better heat shield on exhaust fitted...passengers were getting fried feet probably nice in Winter, tho.
And some service and check over type jobs been done.
Only found a leaking hose clamp.

Now hes nicking off to Tassy for a bit, or a lot

But he's leading a trip in it later in May, so he has faith

with the 1.6L, weber and extractors... after a 15km or so drive, when the motor gets up to temp, you can literally cook an egg on my passengers side wheel arch/footwell... g/f has accidentaly put a toe on it now and then and got some pretty nasty burns!

can you get me a pic of how this heat sheild works? might be a good investment!! hehe
